The Ballroom Dance BandOur History
Formerly known as The Len Ebbage Band, The Ballroom Dance Band is still playing to full dance halls on a regular basis, and can be seen regularly at Pontins Holiday village at Pakefield.
What we do.
We specialise in Strict tempo Ballroom Dancing, Latin and Sequence dancing. We always work along with dance instructors to ensure a well balanced and enjoyable programme for all dancers. Our music covers many decades of popular songs, including big band music, show tunes, 60's/70's, jazz standards and right up to the present.
Where we do it.
We can play in any venue, large or small for Ballroom, Latin and Sequence Dancing, including Mayoral Balls, Ballroom Dance Clubs, and Ballroom and Sequence Dancing Holidays.
The Ballroom Dance Band is normally a six piece band comprising female vocals, Trumpet, Sax/clarinet, Keyboard and Drums. Our regular line up is Roger Chinery on Trumpet, vocals-Lauren Chinery, Barrie Carless or Andy Owen on Keyboard, Derek Cubitt on Reeds, Adam Chinery on Guitar and Russell Keay on Drums.We are pleased to be able to call on other fine musicians, should one of our regular members be unavailable.
