The Ballroom Dance Band
Our History
Formerly known as The Len Ebbage Band, The Ballroom Dance Band is still playing to full dance halls on a regular basis, and can be seen regularly at Pontins Holiday village at Pakefield where we still perform as the 'Len Ebbage Sound'.
What we do.
We specialise in Strict tempo Ballroom Dancing, Latin and Sequence dancing. We always work along with dance instructors to ensure a well balanced and enjoyable programme for all dancers. Our music covers many decades of popular songs, including Big Bands, Show tunes, 60's/70's and Jazz Standards.
Where we do it.
We can play in any venue, large or small for Ballroom and Sequence Dancing, including Mayoral Balls, Ballroom Dance Clubs, and Ballroom and Sequence Dancing Holidays.
Who does it.
The Ballroom Dance Band is a five piece band comprising female vocals, Trumpet, Sax/clarinet, Keyboard and Drums. Our regular line up is Roger Chinery on Trumpet, vocals-Val Sinclair, Barrie Carless on Keyboard, Derek Cubitt on Reeds, and Russell Keay on Drums.
We are pleased to be able to call on other fine musicians, should one of our regular members be unavailable.
